The Coalition of Kaduna Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) has lauded the ingenuity of the Director General of the National Research Institute for Chemical Technology (NARICT), Zaria, Professor Jeffrey Barminas in developing infrastructure at the institute.
This was expressed after a working visit of the Coalition led by its Convener, Comrade Zubairu Mukhtar on 5th July, 2019 to National Research Institute for Chemical Technology, Zaria, he took his tour this time to the just completed and fully furnished e-library and Conference hall by the Institute.
The Convener was led by the Director General of the Institute, Head of ICT, Procurement officer and a few other staff.
The e-library is an online collection of documents organized in an electronic form which enables the user access journals, articles, books and all forms of academic material and as a research institute this is the first time the organization is exposed to such global development Prof. Barminas said.
Comrade Zubairu added that the e-library was a fundamental component of any research experience and as a Civil Society Group they are proud of the sporadic developmental phase the institute was experiencing.
On the just upgraded conference hall, the Convener added that this is one of the unique halls in a research institute he is seeing around the state. Comfortable, qualitative furniture, ultra-modern facilities and most importantly at a very moderate cost.
According to the Convener of the Coalition, he said having a personality like Prof Barminas is a rare privilege that should be appreciated and called on his counterparts to emulate his leadership style which is taking NARICT to the next level.
Finally, he told news men that the Coalition shall be publishing as a wholistic project compendium of NARICT Zaria under the able leadership of Prof. Jeffery Barminas in her press conference holding in the next few weeks.
He assured the DG of their continuous support in ensuring that the institution is moved to the next level devoid of detractors.
