Real Estate: CLAPANDA Chair Vows To Sanitize Business, Kick Quacks Out

    The Chairman, Community Land and Property, Agency Development Association of Nigeria Company Limited (CLAPANDA) Hon Salisu Shafiu, has said that his association is will sanitize the real estate sector in Kaduna State in order to rid it of quacks.

    He made the statement yesterday when he paid a courtesy visit to the patron of the association, theMuhammad Abubakar Mamadi at his resident.

    Hon Shafiu, who is popularly known as “Commander” said that most estate agent have deviated from the norms of the profession by imbibing shady attitudes which has brought disrepute to the vocation.

    “Some of this agent don’t even do a check on will be clients to know if they have shady attitude, they just want to collect money.”

    ” have decided to set up mechanism check this acts and we are calling on all agents to have permanent address as well as belong to our organization in order to protect themselves and their business as we will always stand for justice for both our members and clients, ” he said.

    He added that their there visit to Hon. Mamadi is to thank him for what he has been doing for the association as they work together to raise the standard of the profession in Kaduna state.

    Responding, Hon Mamadi who was the former member representing Igabi local government at the House of Representatives charged all members to be forthright in their dealings.

    He said that being an agent is not a crime as it has created jobs for many Nigerians as well as making them worthy individuals in not just the state, country but the world at large.

    He cited the present President of the United States of America, USA Mr Donald Trump as a clear example of an estate agent who have carved a niche for himself in the profession.

    He promised to work tirelessly with the association to position it as a role model to others so that they can be reckoned with in Kaduna state.

    Similarly, Hon Shafiu Commander was given an award of recognition by the Millennium City Cooperative Society, Danmani.

    Chairperson of the society, Hajia Hassana Ibrahim, said that the award is in recognition of the efforts of the various recipients in improving the lots of vulnerable persons in the state especially in millennium city.

    Hajia Hassana said that eight people were chosen by the society as they have made positive impact in the lives of people especially orphans, widows and the unemployed as such recognition will spur them to do more.

    Responding after accepting his award, Hon Shefiu, promised to work tirelessly especially with the society to help in alleviating the plight of the vulnerable.

    He called on those who are well to do in the state to always lend a helping hand especially to the needy.
