In its bid at ensuring the less privileged are well clothed this harmattan, Teworh Foundation has distributed warm clothing’s and footwear’s to Almajiris in Kaduna.

The distribution which saw them trek from street to street within Kaduna metropolis, saw them provide the clothings to no fewer than 70 beneficiaries.

Some beneficiaries of Teworh Foundation clothes donation pose for a snap shot.

They started their frantic search for the Almajiris from long Degel1 in Ungwan Rimi through Diko Road, linked up to Surami Road from where they connected Yakubu Avenue and AlKali Road before ending the distribution at Rimi college.

Speaking to our correspondent, Founder/CEO of Teworh Foundation, Suraj Ola Abdulwahab said that the gesture was targeted at ensuring that the less privileged stay warm during the harmattan, which is presently at its peak in Kaduna.

Asked on how they raised funds to purchase the clothes, he said they were donated by public spirited individuals.

“After the videos we produced, a woman from Kaduna who simply identified herself as Hajiya Fatima  called and donated clothes. Interestingly she is a grand mother.

Another woman from Lagos, Hajjya Bola Bakare made cash donations, as well as many others too numerous to mention.

” We are grateful to those who donated and appeal to others to do same because there are still many of these children out there we still need to reach. You know they are not with their parents and lack clothes to keep them warm in this season, which may affect their health,” he added.
