Members of Boko Haram, also known as Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP), have again suffered massive defeat as they attacked Ngala, a Borno local government located around Nigeria – Cameroon border.
The attack, launched this evening, immediately after Muslim’s dusk prayer, Magrib, was confirmed by a security source.
The source however noted that the attack was repelled by Nigerian Army troops stationed at the LGA.
It is not clear if the there are any casualties from the attempted attack, but a source told our correspondent that the troops recovered two gun trucks from the terrorists.
‘Troops have recovered two gun trucks from Boko Haram, without casualty,’ the source said.
Information on the attempted attack are still sketchy, but this is their second attempt on the border town in a week.
On Saturday, January 18, the terrorists attacked a United Nation’ facility in the town, burning offices and armoured vehicles.
