The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kaduna State Chapter has alleged plans by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to alter already declared results from the Saturday Sanga State Constituency rerun, which its candidate won.
This was contained in a statement signed by its State Publicity Secretary, Abraham Alberah Catoh, made available on Sunday.
“Information reaching us from the APC camp, revealed that the APC top notchers are having a clandestine meeting to scuttle and temper with the already announced results of Sanga rerun elections held yesterday, won by the PDP and her Candidate,Rt.Hon Comfort Amwe,as announced by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC).
“We call on all security agencies and Civil Rights Organisatuons(CSOs)and the general public to take note of this desperation of the APC/GOVERNMENT HOUSE and enemies of democracy, if unchecked can lead to break down of law and order and cause havoc to our fragile democracy and dissatisfaction to the public, should the APC go ahead with their planned shortchanging of the already announced results of Sanga State Constituency rerun elections, held yesterday,25th January,2020, by the INEC.
“We are keenly watching as events unfold and shall defend our mandate with all that we’ve got, within the ambit of the law.
“Our Party, the PDP, will not fold its arms and watch the people’s mandate shortchanged!” It said.
