A suspect apprehended on Sunday in Kaduna over allegedly bringing what is suspected to be an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) into a Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel in Sabon Tasha, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna metropolis has cleared the air on controversies surrounding his identity.

Fielding questions from newsmen on Monday at the Kaduna Police Command headquarters, he said his name has always been Nathaniel Samuel and he is a member of Living Faith Church.
He further said he even attended the Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI) of the church.
Samuel, who disclosed on record that he is from Bauchi State however, denied that what he carried into the church was an IED.
He said that they were fireworks, meant for decoration works, a claim, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Kaduna Command, DSP Yakubu Sabo immediately countered, reminding him that he was changing his earlier confessional statement.

“Was that what you told the DPO Sabon Tasha? Tell them the truth,” Yakubu Sabo said in the video recording of the interview with newsmen monitored by our correspondent.

It would be recalled that earlier on Monday, controversies were trending on the Social Media that the suspect’s name is not really Nathaniel, but Mohammed, a Muslim.
The interview with the suspect however, has debunked that as he insists that he has always been Nathaniel and a Christian.
