Coach Felix Academic and Sports Foundation has put Team Kaduna in pole position at the ongoing   37th edition of the Ramat International Cup championship sponsored by Kano State government at the Sank Abacha Stadium, Kano.

The competition organised by the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), in memory of Nigeria’s late Head of State, General Murtala Ramat Mohammed,    started  February 13 and ended on 21.
Team CFASF were looking  forward to  defend for Team Kaduna  the 100m and 4×100m U-16 boys title but suffered an upset in one of the events.
The 100m last edition was won by CFASF’s Ayominde A. Oyetunji, all expectations were on Alex Agawai to bring the year title home, but Kano Team dashed that hope.

In  the 200m, CFASF’s Josiah Joel put all his eggs in the  basket and it paid off with a win for Team Kaduna in 22.40s.

Almeen Usman of Team Kano wasn’t blown away by the CFASF’s athlete as he held on to Silver in 23.20s, over Team Ekiti Adaralegbe Temitope  who was 3rd in 24.94s.

Unfortunately, things didn’t work out as expected for Team CFASF at U-16 boy’s 4x100m the Ramat International Cup Championship as  Team Kano got to the finishing line first in the time 46.40s, Team Kaduna got the Silver in 46.52s while Team Ekiti came in 3rd in 46.91s.

Team Kano Abubakar Alhassan upstaged Team Kaduna’s Alex Agwai   in the U-16 boy’s 100m Ramat International Cup Championship winning with 11.02s. CFASF’s Alex Agwai finished with 11.03s for second while Adamu Jauru of Team Adamawa got the third in 11.49s.
