Kaduna State Sports Festival: Over 2,000 Athletes Expected As Registration Ends Today

    As over 2,000 athletes are being expected to register and participate in the 6th Kaduna State Sports Festival, organisers have announced that registration of athletes ends today.

    Commissioner of Sports Development, Professor Kabir Mato  disclosed this while fielding questions from newsmen during a press briefing held at the Murtala Mohammed Square, Kaduna.

    Represented by his SA Media, Ismaila Lere, he said that so far, 850 athletes have already registered, alongside 239 wild cards.

    ‘The  door is still open for registration and we extended it to Sunday March 1, because we want to give room for more participants,” he said.

    According to him, the five-day Festival will begin on Monday March 2 and end on Friday March 6.
    “We are expecting over 2,000 athletes besides officials, from the 23 local government areas of the state to participate,” he added.
