The Director Grassroots Sports Development, Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Dr. Ademola Are has approved the appointed Abdullahi Idris as the new Zonal Coordinator North West of the ministry.
Our correspondent gathered this from a reliable source in the ministry on Sunday.
When contacted on phone, Abdullahi Idris said that he was yet to receive the letter, but has been communicated on the matter.
On his part, Director Grassroots Sports when contacted, confirmed the new development.
This follows the retirement of the outgoing Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Olusola Luke.
The North West Zone covers seven states of Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, Jigawa and Kaduna where the headquarters is located.
It has its administrative office located at the prestigious Ahmadu Bello Stadium.
