In its effort to ease the hardship caused by the twenty four hours curfew imposed by Kaduna State Government as measures to curtail the widespread of the dreaded Coronavirus, the Microvis Microfinance Bank in collaboration with Clovis Entrepreneurial and Leadership Development Foundation (GELD) has donated food items and cash to over 300 residents of Narayi community in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State
Presenting the items through the traditional ruler of the community the Managing Director and chief executive officer of Microvis Microfinance Bank who doubles as the founder of the GELD Foundation Kayode Akinade said the donation become necessary considering the economy situation in the COUNTY, especially with the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus known as COVID-19
“We in Microvis Microfinance Bank and GELD believe strongly in the power of community and in line with our vision to define service excellence and create value for all stakeholders that is the general public and community in which we operate are important stakeholders”
“Giving back to the less privileged and the vulnerable especially in times like gladdens our heart, though we are not happy with the outbreak of the COVID 19 which leads to the sit at home order, but we have no choice than to put smiles on the faces of the masses” Kayode said.
Receiving the items on behalf of the community, the village head of Narayi community Sule Garba Commended the bank and GELD for the gesture, saying the bank is the first organization to render such assistance to the community during the three days sit at home directives.
The Narayi village head assures of doing justice to the items by ensuring it get to those in need.
He further call on other organizations and wealthy Nigerians to learn from Microvis Microfinance Bank and do same in other communities.
Mr. Kayode pray that God should bring an end to the global pandemic of the COVID 19, adding that the organization will not relent in its effort to putting smiles in the faces of the less privileged and vulnerable at all times.
