The Northern Youth Council of Nigeria has distanced self from palliative measures taken by government and Nigerian Billionaires, while singling out All Progressives’ Congress (APC) National Leader, Bola Tinubu, warning him that they will payback his neglect of the region in 2023.
This was expressed in a statement signed National President Northern Youth Council of Nigeria, Isah Abubakar, made available to our correspondent on Monday April 6, 2020.
“It is also obvious that Tinubu who is seen as a Nationalist but have chosen only Lagos to benefit from his 200 million Naira donations when he fully knows that only Lagos cannot make him President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“Tinubu should be rest assured that Northerners are watching from afar and will never support his aspiration in the nearest future because we can not afford to mortgage the future of Nigerians just like what’s happening in Lagos,” it stated.
The group described as outrightly wrong the Federal Government’s claim that they have given out over 50 billion Naira in less than three days to 2.5 million people, saying, “to us as a Council it’s scam at the highest level.”
The group advised the government of Nigeria to brave up and standardize the field of medicine and upgrade the standards of medical facilities all over the country.
