Family Health Advocates in Nigeria Initiative (FHANI) has commended the Kaduna State Government for distribution of Child Birth Spacing (CBS) commodities to healthcare facilities in the state.

This was expressed in a statement signed by FHANI Chairman,Kaduna State, Alhaji Bala Mohammed Tijjani dated April 28, 2020.
“The action is a demonstration of State Government’s commitment to ensuring better reproductive health for residents of the state amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The fear exercised by residents and partners over reproductive health of families, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic period will now be addressed,” it stated.
FHANI said the shortage of CBS commodities already experienced in the state will drop drastically.
“We also commend the state government for keeping the Primary Healthcare Centres open for residents to access antenatal care and immunisation services among others.
“We call on Federal Government to live up to its expectations of timely supply of needed CBS commodities to citizens, in order to reduce the high burdens of maternal deaths experienced in the country,” it concluded.
