Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) wishes to express, with deep heart, the sudden passing away of His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammad Ahmad Asha, the Emir of Kaura Namoda in the early hours of Sunday.
This was expressed in a statement signed by the Special Adviser Public Enlightenment, Media and Communications, Zailani Bappa, made available on Sunday May 3, 2020.
Governor Matawalle, who was visibly shaken by the news, expressed total submission to the Almighty Who decides when and how He takes away His servant back.
While condoling the family and people of Kaura Namoda Emirate, Governor Matawalle said, “on behalf of myself, my family, the government and people of Zamfara State, I hereby express my profound condolence to the family and people of Kaura Namoda Emirate over this great loss”.
Governor Matawalle extolled the good qualities of the deceased whom he described as a good leader, very resourceful, ever jovial and very generous. He said the state has lost a father whose fatherly role and advises were taken dear by his administration until he died.
The Governor called on all citizens in the state to use this sacred month of Ramadhan to pray for the repose of the soul of the late Emir and pray that Allah has mercy on his soul.
The Emir, who was ill and hospitalised for sometime now, passed away this morning at the age of 71 having been on the throne for 16 years. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
