NDLEA Officer Hails Zaman Tare Training, Wants More Workshops

    A staff of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Samuel Magaji has hailed organisers of the Zaman Tare workshop which ended in Kaduna on Wednesday as interesting and encouraging.

    He stated this while fielding questions from newsmen on the sidelines of the Zaman Tare Two+l-Day Training of Government Actors On Legal Instruments To Cultural and Religious Pluralism in Kaduna from Tuesday 28 to Wednesday July 29, 2020 in Kaduna

    “This is my first time of seeing Government Actors and Community leaders coming together to find solutions to Important issue of living together,” he said.
    Speaking further, he however, suggested that the duration of such workshops in the future are made longer, in view of importance.

    “The duration of the workshop is short, it should be Increased to make people learn more,” he appealed.

    Also speaking, Director of Culture and Arts Development, Kaduna  State Ministry of Human Services and Social Development, Kaduna State, Emmanuel Yahaya Akut said the message of the workshop is all embracing.

    “The message  is simple, we have to learn to live together.
    “Issues raised include rape, crime, etc. Basically, the challenges seem to be lack of awards among communities in Kaduna State.
    “Communication is a major challenge. People expect goverment to do everything. People need to interface with Government. Government is a process of integration. It is not only goverment that will create awareness,” he said.

    Speaking further, he said that yhe development of individual  potentials  lies within oneself l.

    “As a ministry we are putting a programme together on issues of awareness on everything, include COVID19. 

    “With regard to the issue of rape, I can assure you that the Honourable Commissioner is active on the case. 

    “We are collating information and data and relating with ministry of Justice, NSCDC and police. We have a whole lot of cases going on and we invite you to come and follow it up,” he said.

    The two-day workshop was organised by CARITAS Foundation.
