A philanthropist, Barrister Aishatu Sule, has provided gravels to filled up the potholes within the premises of Kaduna State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ).
The legal practitioner who donated three trucks load of gravels said she is doing it out of her corporate social responsibility.
According to her, she came into the Secretariat to carry out some typings when she noticed the potholes which is fast becoming eyesores in the premises, and she decided on her own to remedy the situation.
Barr. Sule who is the Managing Director of Kabir Gymnasium Conference/Accommodation, said it is time that well meaning Nigerians give back to the society in areas that will touch the life of the common man.
“I came into this premises to make photocopies and typying of some documents at Sanjim Business Centre when I noticed the potholes scattered all over the Secretariat.
“I then decided to provide gravels to filled in the potholes to ease driving within the premises.
“I appeal to other individuals to follow suit by doing what will touch the lives of the common man. It may not be within the NUJ premises, but anywhere,” she said.
In his remarks, Chairman of the Council, Comrade Adamu Yusuf, commended Barr Sule for the generous donation and prayed that Allah will reward her.
Similarly, Engineer Sani Jimoh of Sanjimm Microsoft Centre, said Barr Sule is one of his customers and praised her concerns to remedy the situation that affects everyone.
