Most Promising Senator Award: Sardaunan Badarawa Congratulates Uba Sani

    Former Interim Chairman of Kaduna North Local Government, Usman Ibrahim popularly known as Sardaunan Badarawa has felicitated with Senator Uba Sani for being conferred with The Most Promising Senator Award by Democracy Heroes, saying it is an honour well deserved in recognition of the Kaduna Central Senator’s numerous giant strides for his constituents and service to country and humanity.
    The award ceremony which took place at Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja was well attended by dignitaries including Governor Nasir el-Rufai and a host of the Senator’s political and business associates who took turns to eulogize his virtues and commitments in advancing democracy and rule of law.
    Sardaunan Badarawa who has been a political associate and confidant of the  Senator described him as a colossus in Kaduna politics whose concerns has always been to render service to  the people, particularly those at the grassroots, adding that Uba Sani had been  a recipient of so many national and international awards in recognition of his good work.
    He said Uba Sani was more of a brother to him who is always concerned about his interests even if they were personal, noting that Kaduna Central Constituency is lucky having Uba Sani as their Senator, assuring them that they would not be disappointed entrusting him with higher Political office.
    “I must tell you this award is timely, considering tremendous achievements of the Senator within a short time at the Senate.
    “As Chairman Senate committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions, he has brought a lot of amendments aimed to foster growth of Nigerian Economy amidst COVID-19 pandemic.
    “He has been in constant touch with financial bodies to provide a level playing ground through legislations to strengthen their capacities and to meet up with obligations.
    “It is a public knowledge that the Senator in performing his Legislative duties, has sponsored seven bills, three of which had scaled second reading while one has already passed third reading at the Senate.
    “He assisted Kaduna State Government to secure the World Bank loan earlier rejected by the 8th Senate.  Securing the loan has accelerated development of infrastructure in his state, particularly the urban renewal projects that have given the entire Kaduna metropolis new looks.
    “He has assisted his constituents with food worth over 80 million Naira distributed across 81 wards of Kaduna Central Zone during the COVID-19 lockdown.
    “He also assisted excos of Kaduna Central Zone with cash worth 15 million Naira to cushion the effect of lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic.
    “He is at the forefront of providing relief materials to victims of bandit attacks in Giwa, Birnin Gwari, Igabi, calling for complete overhaul of our security architecture.
    “I can go on and on in enumerating achievements of Senator Uba Sani without exhausting them here.” The former local government boss said.
