Xploits Consulting Gives 150 Youths Vocational Skills Training In Kaduna

    No fewer than 150 youths in Kaduna state have been trained on different vocational skills such as, make-up, bead making, soap making gale tying and toilet wash making.

    The skill acquisition training programme which was organised by Xploits Consulting Limited with support from Access Bank PLC is to empower youths so as to enable them have a source income and depend less on the government.

    Director of communications, Xploits Consulting Limited, Grace Taiwo said they are in Kaduna to teach the youths some basic skill in order to be entrepreneurs with aim of improving their livelihood.

    “We have been able to train 150 people.

    We have 50 in Kafanchan and Jama’a, 50 in Samaru, Zaria and today we are in Kaduna South to train another 50.”

    A participant, Mr Reuben Chawai who is learning soap making said, acquiring skills will help him to improve on his finances in order for him to take good care of his family.

    “With this economic situation where everybody is living from hand to mouth, the government cannot provide the well needed job to go round the population, but when the youths are being empowered, it will strengthen them financially”.

    Another participant, Mary Ugah who is learning bead making said the training free.

    ” They taught us bead making and we paid nothing.

    With the way things are now because of the pandemic, some of us have lost our jobs.

    So with this bead making, I believe after the training, I will expand it and sell it; and it will help me to support my family”.

    Another set of youths are expected to be trained on vocational skills in Abuja .

    “We are still moving to Abuja to train another 150 youths.” Grace said.
