Comrade Ikeogwu’s Reelection As Delta NUJ Chairman Is Divine – Cleric

The General Overseer of the Omega Praise Church (aka, Ejele Chapel), Evangelist Michael Diden (Ejele), has said that the victory of Comrade Michael Ikeogwu as the Council Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) at the recently conducted election of the union in Delta State had some divine manifestations.
Evangelist Diden stated this during the specially organised  thanksgiving service at the Omega Praise Church in Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, for the successful conduct of the union election in the state.
The man of God said that the protective hand of God was upon Comrade Ikeogwu which saw him triumph above all forces that worked against his reelection, adding that when God’s grace shines on a chosen individual, no human or  unholy forces could stop His divine plans for such an individual.
While praying for Comrade Ikeogwu and members of his Exco to succeed in their leadership of the union in the state, Evangelists Diden urged them to always seek the face of the Lord in the discharge of their functions as union leaders, adding that there would always be hindrances, but that with God, a child of God would always prevail against forces of evil.
Speaking further during the elaborate hosting he organised in honour of members of the union in Sapele, the man of God disclosed that he had not supported Comrade Ikeogwu and his team before the election owing to misinformation, adding that he was happy for the victorious outcome of Comrade Ikeogwu and his team at the keenly contested election.
He enjoined the leadership of the union in the state and beyond to support the administration of Governor Okowa in the state, adding that there was the need for supports from individuals and organisations in the state towards the actualisation of the Stronger Delta vision of the state government.
Responding, Comrade Ikeogwu thanked him for the wonderful hosting of members of the NUJ immediately after the thanksgiving service in Sapele, adding that he had always known Evangelist Diden as a man of character who believed strongly in doing the right thing at all times, just as he commended his philanthropist gestures which had seen very many lifted from despondency to the brighter side of life.
The union leader appealed to the philanthropist Evangelist to render assistance to the union towards the completion of the press centre of the union in the state, adding that journalists in the state would continue to enjoy responsive and purposeful leadership under his watch as the chairman of the union in the state.
