Commandant NDA Takes Cadets On Tour To Army Super Camp Faskari, Urges Troops To Redouble Efforts In Fight Against Banditry

    The Commandant of the Nigeria Defense Academy (NDA), Major General Jamilu Sarham, has urged the troops of the Nigerian Army deployed to augment the lingering insecurity bedevilling the Northwest zone to rededicated efforts during their operational activities in order to mitigate the Banditry, kidapping, cattle rustling and other criminality within the Zone, for peace to thrive.
    The NDA Commandant Major General Jamil Sarham made the call when he led cadets of the 68 and 69 Regular Courses for a first hand learning tour to the Nigerian Army Special Super Camp 4 in Faskari Town the Headquarters of Faskari Local Government Council of Katsina State on Wednesday at the operation theatre command headquarters of Operation Sahel Sanity fighting banditry in North West region of the country.
    Accordingto him, the Nigerian Army under the leadership of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai would remain committed to mitigate the Banditry in the Northwest and restore peace for the development of the zone.
    “Indeed, the activities of Armed Bandits, Kidnappers, Cattle Rustlers and other criminality in the Northwest is a serious alarming, hence the needs for the Nigerian Army in collaboration with other sister security agencies to sustain their proactive steps to bring the trend to an end”. Maj. Gen. Sarham said.
    He also call on our Officers and Men in the Nigerian Army to remain resolute and dedicated in their operational activities while fighting Banditry in the Northwest for the returning of relative peace in the region.
    According to him, all the relevant stakeholders must join hands together particularly communities, traditional Institutions and other to cooperate with the military by bringing positive response to the Military for prompt action.
    “Indeed without support by the Communities to the Military during their operations in the Northwest, the activities of Armed Bandits, kidnapping and other criminality will not be successfully address by the Military, hence the need for the unflinching support and encouragement to the Military by all the relevant stakeholders within the host communities to attain the desired objectives”. Maj. Gen. Sarham said.
    He explained that he was overwhelmed and uptimistic with the level of commitment by the troops of Exercise Sahel Sanity located at Army Special Super Camp 4 in Faskari the Headquarters of Faskari Local Government Council of Katsina State in their efforts to combat Banditry, kidnapping and other criminality in the Northwest Zone.
