Reward For Hard-work: HEKAN President, Amos Kiri Bags Doctorate Degree In Strategic Leadership

    President of the United Church of Christ in Nations known as HEKAN, Reverend Amos G. Kiri has bagged a Honorary Doctorate Degree of Strategic Leadership awarded by DOXA Institute in Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria
    The HEKAN President was nominated for the award considering his commitment, dedication and selfless service to God and humanity 
    At the event that took place in Kaduna, the Chancellor of DOXA Institute, Professor Solomon Omayiwa described Amos Kiri as one who says the truth no matter how bitter it is.
    He described him as a visionary leader who always places the interests of the  church above any other thing. 
    “As a leader in the house of God, it is better you speak the truth and die than to tell lies and live.
    “Your principles make you who you are.
    “Lead with whole sense of sincererity, honesty, dedication and commitment,” he said.

    Prof. Solomon further charged all the awardees to continue to live up to expectation and live a life that will please God and people around them.
    In his acceptance speech, the HEKAN President, Rev. (Dr) Amos G. Kiri  appreciated the leadership of the Institution  for finding him worthy of this honor.
    He assured of his determined commitment to continue to lead with human face and touch lives positively.
    Kiri also reaffirmed his resolve to show resilient commitment to the service of God and to humanity.
    “I want to sincerely appreciate God for what happened here today, I must also appreciate the Senate and governing council of this esteemed institute for finding me and my colleagues/recipients worthy to be so honored.
    “To our families, friends and colleagues in our various endeavours I commend you for the support you have given in the past and in the present which has been instrumental to making us to be worthy of this honour,” he expressed.
    On behalf of the recipients, Rev. Dr. Kiri reiterated their readiness to work hand-in-hand with DOXA Institute and appealed to all and sundry to support the institute to enable it sustain its laudable programmes,  giving to the present generation.
    “With this honour bestowed on us today, we have become bonafide members of DOXA Institute. We want to pledge our full support to DOXA Institute to the best of our abilities. Whatever the Almighty God has given us individually and collectively as recipients, we shall give back to DOXA Institute for its growth and development”
    “I want to appeal to all to support this institute to enable it sustain its laudable programmes, giving to the present generation,” he appealed.
    Reverend Dr. Amos Kiri until his emergence as HEKAN President in 2017, was a senior clergy in the church and has held many positions 
    Other awardees included, Dr. Markus Dauda, Dr. John A. Asimgbe and  Rev. Dr. Yohana Mugu Musa.
