The Conference of Alumni Associations of Nigerian Universities (CAANU) as part of activities to mark its fourth quarter delegates conference in Kaduna, presented awards to Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State for his giant strides in the development of education in the state and also to former Vice President, Arc. Namadi Sambo.
The ceremony held at the Kaduna State University on Saturday November 28, 2020 also saw Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Dame Pauline Fallen, Senator representing Kaduna Central, Senator Uba Sani, Executive Secretary, National University Commission (NUC), Professor Abubakar A. Rasheed, and Director General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General S. Ibrahim.
Also awarded were, Director General, Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Bashir Jamoh and the Managing Director, NIgeria Ports Authority (NPA), Hajiya Hadiza Bala Usman.
At the event, Governor Nasir el-Rufai was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education Kaduna State, Phoebe Yayi.
