Delta Cult Clash Leaves Two Dead, One With bullet Injuries

    Two persons has been reportedly killed and one other with bullet wounds  at Iyara community by the popular Akara-junction in a fresh cult-clash, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
    AUTHENTIC NEWS DAILY gathered that the incident occurred Tuesday evening December 8,2020.
    Sources said, “we don’t really know what happened, we just had gunshots before we could know what is happening two persons are on the ground dead. 
    “The two persons were gunned down at about 7:33pm with one person who sustained gunshot wounds escaped from the scene of the incident.
    “We don’t know if it is a cult related issues. But,  definitely I think it is about cult clash.
    “Because we had the gunshots from the Iyara area, when we got there we saw two persons on the ground dead,  we also saw the trace of blood till about 200m. Away and we saw another one that was also shot in his hand. But nobody could say what happened because everyone is scared, even we are also scared”. Sources said. 
    Details as to why the deceased were shot dead are still sketchy at the time of filing this report.
    When contacted for comments, the State Police Public Relations Officer PPRO DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the incident. 
    She said, “Yes,  is it true, three people was shot, two died. It’s cult related killing.” the police image maker said.
