Simon Wabas Turbaned As Third Chief Marghi Kaduna


    *promises to use his wealth of experience in tackling crime 

    *Etsu Chikun appeals to traditional Institutions, parents to join in  fight against crime

    The Sarkin Marghi in Kaduna, Simon Wabas has appealed to government  at all levels to intensify security of lives and property across the country.
    The traditional ruler said  that banditry and insurgency has claimed many innocent lives, hence the need for government and security agencies  to stem the tide.
    Addressing newsmen shortly after his turbanning as the third Chief of Marghi nation by the Etsu Chikun, His Royal highness Danjuma Barde,  Wabas noted that if police get the necessary support, they will address the internal security facing the nation.
    According to him, the insecurity that has bedevilled the North West and East regions calls for serious concerns.
    Simon Wabas who was a retired Chief Superintendent of Police reaffirmed his determined commitment to contribute his quota as an ex-security personnel and now traditional ruler in ensuring lasting peace in Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.
    He further condemned the attack on communities in some states in the North Eastern region during the Christmas celebration 
    On his part, the Etsu Chikun, Danjuma Barde admonished traditional rulers and parents to assist government and security agencies in tackling crime in Kaduna State.
    According to him, his emirate is ever willing to partner any group or individual committed to working for peace, unity and development.
    Marghi nation are indigenes of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states.
