Shangui FC have qualified for the final of the second edition of Engineer Musa Nimrod Youth Sports Federation of NIgeria (YSFON) Adamawa Soccer Competition.
According to YSFON National Organising Secretary, Malam Abdulrazak Usman, they will be playing Bangshika who equally qualified from the semi final in the final billed for Thursday at College Of Education (COE), Hong by 11am.
Shangui beat their opponents Thilbang via penalties 4-2 after a goalless draw at the end of regulation time in the first semi final.
In the second semi final, Bangshika beat Gaya by 3-0 also through penalties, after both teams failed to score during regulation time.
Both semi final losers, Thilbang and Gaya will square up for the 3rd/4th place play-off by 10.00am.
In the quarter final games, Shangui and Hong played 1-1, but Shangui won on 4-2 penalties.
In the second quarter final, Thilbang beat opponents Garaha 1-0, while Bangshika thrashed Daksiri 4-2 in the third match.
The fourth quarter final saw Husherizum play a 2-2 with Gaya, however, Gaya won 4-3 via penalties.
The sponsor, Engineer Musa Nimrod is the President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), who is also the patron of the Sports Writers Association of NIgeria (SWAN), Kaduna State chapter.
