Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya (APC Kano South), has sent strong worded message of condolences to Northern Nigeria, Kogi State and legal profession over the passage of legal luminary, Abdullahi Ibrahim CON, FCIrB, FINALS and SAN who passed on at the weekend.
The Kogi State born legal luminary who served the country at various levels of government was called to the British Bar in 1963 where practiced briefly before returning to Nigeria and was called to the Nigeria Bar in 1964. The legal giant was at various times legal adviser to ministry of finance northern Nigeria and the New Nigeria Development Company (NNDC.)
The legal icon was commissioner for Education in the Old Kwara State, minister of Education, Science and Technology as well Attorney General and minister of Justice in1984 among others.
Senator Gaya in his condolence message said that the legal icon will be greatly missed especially at this trying times in the country.
The former Kano State governor commiserate with northern Nigeria for losing the oldest Senior Advocate of Nigeria from the region, Kogi State, his state of origin and the Nigeria legal profession.
The federal lawmaker enjoined the noyrth and immediate family of the deceased to take solace and be strong because the legal guru left a legacy of praise and emulation.
He prayed, “Almighty ALLAAH to grant the deceased Aljanatul Firdausi Amin.”
