Kaduna Electric Partners Zazzau Emirate, Pledges Support To Govt’s Economic Drive

    The Emir of zazzau, Ambassador Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli has charged all District Heads in the Emirate to support the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company in the areas of safeguarding power supply infrastructure  against vandalism and revenue generation.
    The Emir made the charge on Tuesday in Zaria when playing host to officials of the Company, led by the Chairman of the Board who are on a sensitisation visit to Zaria.
    The traditional leader who recounted the strategic importance of electricity to the socio-economic development of any society also called on the Distribution Company to up its game by ensuring qualitative service to its customers.
    ”The importance of electricity to the socio-economic economic development of any society cannot be over emphasis, ours cannot be an exception; we are currently facing security challenges as a result of banditry and kidnapping,this makes it imperative on us and the Distribution Company to ensure stability and sustainability of electricity supply to help address the problem”, he said.
    The revered traditional ruler pledged the readiness of the Emirate Council to partner with Kaduna Electric for the mutual benefit of all parties.
    Earlier, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kaduna Electric, Yusuf Hamisu Abubakar, OON disclosed that the Company is currently developing a framework that will enable the Company to collaborate and work with the traditional institution and other stakeholders alike.
    “We are developing an operational framework that will enable us collaborate with the traditional institution and other critical stakeholders; this is aimed at ensuring that we give more value to our customers and support the socio economic drive of the Governments in our franchise”, he contended.
    Yusuf Hamisu Abubakar appealed to all District Heads to ensure that their subjects live up to their responsibilities in terms of payment of bills as this is the only way to put the Company in the path of sustainable development.
    The Managing Director/CEO, Engr. Garba Haruna revealed that the Company accords reverence to the traditional institutions, hence the choice of the Palace to kick off the Boards’ sensitisation campaigns.
