Ayade’s Adviser, Oscar Ofuka Decorated As International Peace Ambassador

    The Special Adviser on Cocoa development to Governor Ben Ayade, Dr. Oscar Ofuka has been honoured as Eminent Peace Ambassador by the International Association of World Peace Advocates in Calabar.

    According to the organizers, Dr. Ofuka was chosen because of his commitment to peace and equitable society over the years.

    The visibly excited Ofuka who was honoured alongside eminent personalities in the state, including the Obong of Calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon-Abasi Otu VI and some state lawmakers, said he was proud to be identified with association that preaches peace all over the world.

    Presenting the award, the world peace president, Amb. Per Stafsen said he was excited because those honoured this year was as a result of the successes the peace ambassadors who were honoured last year have recorded.

    In his reaction, Dr. Ofuka dedicated the award to the state governor, Ben Ayade who he appreciated for giving him the opportunity to serve, “I am very excited today because this award is coming as a recognition of my service and commitment to the development of peace in several communities in the state. And I want to dedicate this award to the state governor, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade for offering me the platform to serve. It is because he gave me that opportunity, that is why I am here today, so I want to say that I really appreciate the governor”

    Dr. Ofuka’s cocoa development in the state has been widely applauded by many within and outside the state, earning him several awards and recognitions.

    Highlight of the event was the official unveiling of the #PeaceBackNigeria by the Obong of Calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon-Abasi Otu VI.
