*applauds state government for women inclusion in government

As the women across the world celebrate International Women’s Day, the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Kaduna State chapter has advocated for enabling environment with a view to enhancing capacity of women to create positive change in the Nigeria.
This was contained in a message signed by the Chairperson, Kaduna NAWOJ, Hajiya Fatima Aliyu Mahuta, and Secretary, Maureen Sheyin to mark the 2021 International Women’s Day with the theme: “Choose to Challenge.”
According to the statement, every woman has the potentials of making the world a better place if given the opportunity.
The statement described women as strong and courageous, because they have been in the forefront in the fight agains gender based violence against women and children.
It called on government at all levels to consider women more in top government offices as well as political positions.
The association also applauded the Kaduna State Government for entrusting key positions to women,and urged women at all levels to support the state government in it’s policy drive to protect women and children in the state.
