    Itsekiri Assembly announces passage to eternal Glory of Late king, introduces Olu-designate Prince U.Emiko.


    The Itsekiri National Assembly has officially announced the passage to eternal Glory of His Magesty Ogiame Ikenwoli, the Olu of Warri. (Alejefun) and also introduced the Olu -designate, Prince Utieyinoritsetsola Emiko to the Itsekiri Nation.

    The announcement was done at Ode – Itsekiri in Big Warri on Monday April 5, 2021 at Ode – Itsekiri, Big Warri, in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State..

    Chief Johnson Atserunleghe, the lyatsere of Warri Kingdom formally, publicly  gave the announcement of the passing on to the eternal Glory of His Magesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli, the Olu of warri to the Solemn Assembly of the Itsekiri Nation by symbolically breaking three earthen  (native) pots containing white native chalks, one after the other on the floor and announcing : ‘Ale-jefun-oooh” after each occasion.

    Twenty  (20) cannon shorts to announce the departure of His Magesty Ogiame Ikenwoli,  the Olu of warri to join his ancestor’s, signifying that twenty (20) Olus had reigned over lwere land so far.

    The lyatsere also announces a mourning period of three (3) lunar months throughout the ltsekiri Nation, during which; There shall be no dancing of any kind anywhere in lwere Land. There shall be no merry – making og any kind anywhere in lwere land. There shall be no drumming of kind anywhere in lwere land. All ltsekiri sons and daughters must tie their wrappers up – side down for the duration of the mourning period.

    The announcement and presentation of Omoba to ltsekiri Nation as Olu -designate. And the Olu designates citations was also read to all. According to  The Biography of OMOBA, Prince Tsola Emiko.

    “Prince Utieyinoritsetsola Emiko was born on April 2, 1984 to Prince Godwin Toritseju Emiko (The late Ogiame Atuwaste 11) and Gladys Durorike Emiko in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria.

    “He attended the prestigious NNPC Primary School ain Warri and for his secondary education, he went to Adesoye College, Offa, Kwara State from 1995 to 2001.

    “Continuing his interest for studying, Prince Utieyinoritsetsola Emiko got admitted into Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA, where he bagged his Bachelor’s of Arts, majoring in International Studies & Political Science, while minoring in History & Economics between 2002 & 2006.

    “The elegance personified Prince went further to earn a master’s of Science in Management from Case Western Reserve University in 2007.

    “He return to Nigeria for NYSC in 2008 where he served in the public Affairs Department of National Petroleum Investment Management Services, NAPIMS.

    “From 2009 to 2010, he worked as an officer at the Shell Nigeria Closed Pension Fund Administrator, SNCFPA and Worked for Sahara Energy as Government Relations Officer, 2010-2012.

    “Prince Utieyinoritsetsola Emiko, a serial entrepreneur is the founder of Noble Nigeria Ltd and Coral Curator Ltd. He is the Chairman, Ocean Marine Security Ltd and Director, Gulf of Guinea Ltd and Vessel link Nig. Ltd. His business acumen may be said to have flowed from his late father.

    “Prince Tsola Emiko is a loving and caring husband of Mrs. Obie Uhunoma Emiko and an inspiring father to Oritsetsemaye, Oritsetemisan and Oritsetimeyin.
