The Chairman of the New NIgeria People’s Party (NNPP), Kaduna State chapter, Alhaji Ahmed Zagi on Thursday, hosted party executives, friends and associates to an Eid-el-Fitr lunch.
The gathering held at his residence, as a result of the COVID-19 protocol, featured a small number of persons.
In an interview with journalists on the sidelines of the lunch, he said it was organised as part of activities to mark the end of the month long fasting of Ramadan.
“We are grateful to Almighty Allah for keeping us alive and completing this year’s Ramadan. Just a few executives of our party, friends and associates were invited to celebrate with my family,” he said.
Speaking further, he thanked Almighty Allah for the success of the Ramadan, praying for blessings on Muslim.Ummah and all Nigerians.
When asked of his party’s preparations ahead of the Kaduna State Local Council polls billed for June 5 this year, he was optimistic that NNPP would contest vibrantly.
“Our party is been yearned for by Nigerians, following the disappointing governance from the two major parties.
“We are ready and would shock them at the polls,” he declared.
