Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun, Barden Hausa, Shattiman Sakkwato) has condoled the family of late DSP Abdulkadir Abubakar Ardo who recently lost his life in line of duty in Kebbi State.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Special Adviser Public Enlightenment, Media and Communications, Zailani Bappa, dated June 1, 2021.
The statement said that the Governor, who sent a powerful delegation led by the Special Adviser on Security matters, DIG Mamman Tsafe, mni (rtd ) also included the Special Adviser, Public Enlightenment, Media snd Communications, Zailani Bappa and the ADC to His Excellency, DSP Aliyu.
DIG Mamman Tsafe urged the family to bear the loss reminding them that all souls must taste death. He descried the late Ardo as a courageous Officer, diligent and committed.
He said the young officer has left behind a legacy of excellence in service to humanity.
In his address, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media Zailani Bappa also urged the family to bear the loss as a destiny and a trial to their lives.
He announced the support of the sum of N2 million and ten 50kg bags of rice to the family of the deceased.
Late DSP Ardo was the leader of the Special Tactical Squad who was injured by gun shot while encountering a group of bandits at Tsamiya village of Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State. He was on referral to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital when he gave up the Ghost last week.
