NECO Exam Fees: Kaduna Speaker Pays Over N1.6m For 130 Students

    In continuation of his Western education development,  the Speaker, Kaduna State  House  of Assembly,  Rt. Hon Yusuf Ibrahim has on Thursday  June 10,  2021,  put smiles on the faces of  130 students, as he released  N1,625,000 million  for the payment of their NECO examination fees.  
    A statement signed by the SA Media and Publicity to the Speaker, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani and made available to newsmen in Kaduna  on Friday, said the money was released  as scholarship for the benefiting students.  
    The beneficiaries cut across the secondary schools from his constituency.  

     Zailani who is also the Garkuwan Qur’anic Recitation in  Kaduna,  the statement further said, through an NGO called  Ulul-Bab Educational Development Committee which has been championing and advocating  the payment of students scholarship, screened  42 beneficiaries of Igabi Local Government Area of the state that  benefited from the  Speaker’s scholarship. 
    According to the statement,  another set of  88 students who hail from various constituencies of Igabi as well as others outside the local government area have also benefited from the Speaker’s gesture. 
    It explained that the Speaker’s gesture is not only limited to the payment of NECO/WAEC for the students, every year, he earmarks huge amount  of money  for the payment of scholarship for students of tertiary  institutions of learning in his immediate constituency where he pays about  50 per cent of fees. 
    Some of the beneficiaries in their separate remarks, thanked the speaker for the gesture and prayed to Almighty Allah to reward him abundantly.
