Nigerian Ambassador To Congo Meets President Felix, Presents Letter Of Credence

    The Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Congo, Engineer Omar Suleiman has officially presented his letter of Credence to President Felix Tshisekedi.
    Omar in a phone interview with our correspondent, said the official exercise has made him hit the ground running in building bilateral ties in the area of mineral products Congo is known for.
    According to him, mineral resources constitute most of the country’s total exports and diamonds account for almost half of the trade revenue, these are some of the areas the two countries will establish stronger ties.
    He said the Republic of Congo is also good in copper, cobalt, gold, coltan, zinc, tin and tungsten, and good in consumer products which include textiles, plastic, footwear, processed food, beverages so many that can attract Nigerian investors.
    “I presented a letter of my credence with which President Muhammad Buhari appointed me as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Congo, President Felix Tshisekedi,” Omar said
    The Adamawa born politician who had a successful career in Nigerian Ports Authority and retired as Managing Director of the organization assured to make a good representation that will sell Nigeria well in DR Congo.
