Eid-el-Kabir: Ex Kaduna Perm Sec Tasks Security Agencies On Exposing Financiers Of Terrorism, Banditry

Former Permanent Secretary in Kaduna State, Alhaji Liman Iyal Adamu has congratulated the Muslim community in the state and in the country in general for the peaceful celebration of the Eid El Kabir festivities.

He commended the Armed Forces and the security organizations for keeping terrorists and other trouble manners at bay by making sure that they do not engage in ungodly acts.

The former technocrat urged the security agencies to as a matter of fact investigate the sources of income and the financiers of bandits and other terrorists who are kidnapping, killing and raping in all the communities across the North.

According to him, “If you ask the Fulanis boys kidnapping and collection million Naira ransom, they would tell you that they were paid only N2,000.
“And if you see the guns they are carrying, it costs N200,000 but is now 750,000. So the question is, who are the people funding or sponsoring these bandits?”

He continued further, “I think the Department of State Security (DSS) should investigate this angle- some people are saying that it is politicians that sponsoring them. So let the security agencies comb the Abuja Kaduna high way, the Kaduna Zaria express way and we shall see an end to these insecurity, he added.

Speaking on the Federal Government’s placing of Kaduna, Lagos and other states on high alert due the third wave of COVID-19 pandemic, Alhaji Liman said it was the right thing to do.

He urged all Nigerians to adhere to guidelines such as social distancing, wearing of facemasks and avoiding large gatherings.
