*embarks on 5-day aggressive summit

In his effort to review and revive educational and health sectors in the state, Ebonyi Council Chairman, Hon.(Mrs) Chinyere Nwogbaga has embarked on 5-days aggressive responsive submit.
The executive chairman while addressing teachers and health workers at Ugbodo, Ebonyi LGA headquarters, tasked them to support government effort in making the state the best in educational and health service delivery in the country.
According to the Chairman, the essence of the summit was to sanitize the system, adding that the state Governor directed all stakeholders to ensure that they made their contributions for societal development.
The Executive Chairman noted that she kicked start the programme as quick as possible in order to ensure Ebonyi LGA was not found wanting in all programmes of the state Governor.
Corraborating the council Chairman, the acting Chairman Universal Basic Education Board and Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education, Mrs Blessing Ezeoke lauded the Local Government Chairman for her proactive measure in handling all state government policies and programmes at the grass root.
The permanent Secretary applauded stakeholders in both sectors for their turn out and emphasized that the state been one of the disadvantaged state that efforts should put in place to ensure the people came out of the wood.
According to the UBEB acting Chairman, the task of sanitizing and reviving these sectors did not lay on only teachers and head teachers but responsibility of parents and Community leaders.
She hinted that time has come for both stakeholders to assemble resources together to build an ill free society where there would be no bandits and kidnappers.
Mrs Ezeoke advised Teachers and school heads to re-introduce press club and other self educational improvement groups in school as to keep their pupils and students busy,hence, replace cult activities that’s quick taking over learning activities in our schools.
She encouraged teachers not to dettered as no man could pay them according to their service to humanity and added that no man could afford to pay for formation of character which is their basic responsibility.
She called them to always prepare their note of lesson and keep update, even as they engage in vigorous reading as to improve their knowledge.
The event featured paper presentations, teachings and award presentation to the council Chairman, Hon Chinyere Nwogbaga by Principals Junior Secondary Schools as best teachers’ friend.
