Flood: Buratai Humanity Care Extends Sympathy To Affected Communities

    *appeals to those living around river banks to relocate

    Following the flooding incidents recorded in parts of the country resulting from heavy downpour, a non governmental organisation, TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation, has extended sympathy to those affected.

    This was contained in a statement jointly signed by its National Coordinator, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani and Convener, Engr Hassan Muhammad, dated Thursday September 22, 2022.

    “The TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation wish to express her sympathy and empathy with persons and communities that have suffered from the effect of this year’s flooding.

    “We wish to also commiserate with families of those who have lost their loved ones and suffered loss of properties and destruction of farmlands,” it said.

    The statement said that, “As a foundation, we also commend the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) various State Emergencies Management Agencies (SEMAs) and development partners for rising up to the challenge of providing succour to victims of flood.”

    It explained that rains are natural blessings from God, however, when it overflows its banks, it could be harmful to those leaving within the River banks.

    “Towards this end, as a foundation, we appeal to particularly people living within the river banks to consider relocating to a much more safer locations to avoid a recurrence of flood negative effects.

    “As a foundation, we are further calling on organizations and spirited individuals to assist those affected with flood in this their trying times,” it said.
