The Commandant Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) wudil, Kano State, AIG Ahmad Abdurrahman, had on Friday, paid a supervisory visit to the Kaduna center for screening and automation exercise for regular cadet course 9th applicant.
A statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) Kaduna State Command, DSP Muhammed Jalige, dated Friday September 30, said that the Commandant and his entourage were received by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Administration and Finance Kaduna Command, DCP Chukwudi Ariepkere on behalf of the Commissioner of police.
The August visitor after inspecting the ceremonial guard of honor at the state headquarters proceeded to the screening venue at Kaduna Police Command officers mess independent way where he interacted with the screening panel as well as the applicant.
In his words, the Commandant tasked the screening panel to justify the trust reposed on them and rate the applicant based on merit and to shun any form corruption and corrupt tendencies during before and after the screening so as to induct into the training institution only a crop of officers who deserve to serve based on merit.
He also called on the prospective cadet to see police organization as a call to duty and not avenue to harness wealth or to violate human right.
He called on parents and guidance to allow the process to take care of itself as only a qualified applicant can be administered into the institution and to avoid any person who might posed to assist them gain entry by whatever means in kind or in cash as the institution is ready to deal with any person who is found wanting in that regards.
The head of screening committee Kaduna center equally briefed the commandant on the progress so far as the committee have screen one thousand and fifty two applicants (1052) and assured him that the committee will complete the exercise on the stipulated date.
The Commandant in his closing remarks tasked the Commissioner of Police Kaduna Command to ensure the safety and security of the applicants throughout the screening period.
