The People of Oshimili North Local Government Area have declared their full support for all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The declaration was made by the leaders and members of the party on Tuesday November 29, 2022, when the State Campaign Train visited Ward 1, Akwukwu-Igbo, Ward 2, Ebu, Ward 3, Illah, Ward 9, Okpanam, and Ward 10, Ukala to end the two days awareness campaign in the local government area, which was turned into a carnival in all the wards.
Remarking on the preparedness of the party to win the election in each of the wards, the Coordinator of the Campaign Council in Oshimili South, Chief Patrick Ukah, said they are ready to work for the success of the party, through the massive mobilization of voters for the PDP in 2023.
Chief Ukah re-echoing the same message in the five wards, however, asked the people to reject any person or party, that will come to them with promises, which they will not fulfill, as was in 2015, when Nigerians were made to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC), for what they said was a project for a better Nigeria but had become pains for seven years.
He said that the PDP is a party of truth, and for all-inclusiveness, as it creates room for the collective growth of members.
“I have to state here that the people of Oshimili North are for PDP and they are ready to deliver the party 5 over 5 in 2023.”
“We know some people are being deceived, to join other groups or parties, but I have to tell you not to be deceived, as Nigerians were deceived in 2015 to vote for the APC, which had brought pains and sorrows. The pains have been there for the past seven years.
“The PDP is a party of the truth, for all-inclusiveness, that creates room for the collective growth of the party members and Nigerians in general.” He stated.
The Delta North Chairman of the party, Elder Moses Iduh, while addressing the party faithful, observed that the government of the PDP has shown love to the people as can be witnessed by the quality projects that have been executed in their areas, saying it will be an error for any person or group to vote for any other party in 2023.
Speaking directly to the people, he said, “It will be a very, very big error for the people to vote against the party, after witnessing such massive project execution in your area.
“It will be sin before God and before man.’ He said.
The chairman stated that the ward-to-ward campaign has always been the strategy of the party and that it always comes out victorious in the state.
Others who spoke during the visits were the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Sir Monday Onyeme, the House of Representatives Candidate, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, and the House of Assembly Candidate for Oshimili North State Constituency, Barr. Frank Esenwa, who gave reports on the achievements of the party in the state.
The visit to the wards was marked by massive mobilization that was laced with music and praises for the good work of the party in the area.
